The EL was "going green" decades before the concept became fashionable! On a more serious note, Chester was the location of a livestock pen served by NY-100 in the early 60's. The stock cars were placed on the headend. Since this was the last regular stock movement on EL, I wonder if these were all consigned to Kosher butchers?
