I guess the big question that I didn't see answered in the newspaper article is exactly when the rebuilding will begin and when the service will start.
One would hope that an extension to Blairstown would be the next phase of the short term plan, but the idea of rails on the cut-off again in any capacity is certainly a wonderful thing!

1 other thing about getting Andover and then furter IS itcan be served with Existing consists not haveing to buy more loco's and cars just to run them..... once the line is built beyond Blairstown a New Fleet will have to be added just to cover that line of service

The boys on "Car Talk" make a big point of their success being ". . .unencumbered by the thought process. . ." I guess the cutoff will follow their advice.

A 65 spot parking lot! I guess getting any of the Cutoff back is better than nothing, however if the goal is to build something useful I would have hoped they could at least reach Blairstown where you could build a decent size parking lot and try to attract Pennsylvania commuters before they reach the most crowded part of I-80.
Tim,
Where is Roseville Tunnel in relation to this proposed Andover Station?? Would it be just east or west of the station?? It is also too bad they can't extend the tracks to Blairstown or at least Greendell!!
Like you said, I guess it's a start!!
