It is marked M & E on one side, the other side appears to have a very faded name or number on the back. I am asking $65 for the key. First email to me gets it. I see what appears to be a crack along the shaft which leads me to believe this is one of a group I had made when I was appointed Superintendent of the new company. These keys are slightly smaller than the originals as the old mold and patterns at the manufaturer, Climax Lock Co., had worn beyond use so they substituted a smaller one. A number of them cracked and broke due to the shaft having to be bored out so large making the walls very thin. I have two originals, one marked and one unmarked, as well as one of the smaller versions. When the M&ERR Co., had its Whippany Toonerville RR steam train operation they sold unmarked locks and keys through their giftshop. Some "enterprising" fans bought keys and at least two of them walked the line between Morristown & Whippany "collecting" original marked locks.
