Ooops! I can answer one of my my own questions. A picture, dated 5/29/39, of 2960 before rebuild with vanderbilt tender and a full set of BoxPok drivers is in Locomotive Quarterly, vol. 11 #2, p 17. And in Biernacki, p 28. A very pretty and completely unique arrangement -- and limited to about a year's existence, since the locomotive was wrecked on 5/12/40.
