It's possible that it could have been Hawley but it looks a bit overgrown to be there, however by that time, overgrowth might have been the norm. My guess is the Saco depot in Wayne County, a few miles northeast of Dunmore. Saco was a location where Erie stored rolling stock in need of repairs. The cars were then taken to Dunmore via Rock Jct. Saco was near Gravity. After the merger, I'm honestly not sure if Saco was still used for that purpose. By the way, MIke, can you tell me where you found that the line was severed in 12/62? I recall EL Geeps (in Erie paint) on the Wyoming beyond 1962, hauling empty hoppers south towards Avoca. The closest that I can come to the severing of the division is the early 70s as I have the Official Guide from 1974 that shows the line disconnected. Regarding the 1200 series, many of the lower numbers were the only power for many years on the Scranton and Jessup branches. The Wyoming itself also had RS', but I never saw them on the branches. To define "lower numbers" do we mean below 1212 or 1214, for example? Just using those numbers as examples. Rick **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring.
