I dragged my wife along today to Scranton. We had a good time at the festival, first riding the steam train short ride exploring the equipment in the yard. Then we rode the Electric City museum streetcar out to Montage. Both were enjoyable. We next visited the trolley museum. We stopped at the CITY OF LIMA (good job by the ELDCPS, though Tim wasn't there today) before we took a lunch break at the Italian Food Festival (on the four streets surrounding City Hall).
Fortified, we returned to through the mall to the bridge over the yard (I met Carl Perelman of RAILPACE on the bridge). We went through the Amtrak Superliner display (sleeper, diner, lounge: coaches conspicuously absent) and the OHIO RIVER and HICKORY CREEK. By this time, the 3254 was ready to return to the roundhouse so we went to the turntable. The 3254 backed onto the table and was turned two stalls, then went in. No 'full spin' to show off to the visitors...
We spent the rest of the time in the roundhouse displays, leaving about 4:30.
Now I had to pay: we stopped at the Crossings Outlet Mall at 5pm. We left shortly before 9pm... Alice was too tired to try on anything else.
