I decided to ride my bike down the High Bridge Branch today.

Morris County has provided a good surface for walking, cycling, or riding horses, south from Long Valley to the county line; Hunterdon provided one several years ago. In addition, the trail was put across the nursery and the swampy area at Middle Valley has been drained and is now passable. At Long Valley, a bridge is in place to the Toll Brothers' active adult housing project. They have paved their drives, so it's possible to go through along the railroad route to the steel yard and on to the northern part of the trail. There are now no detours!
