RE: (erielack) More shots from the late Earle Gil of DL&W 565



What ever happened to 565 so that it ultimately wound up at Cirtro's?
It was functional as an operating steam engine but when BR&W moved to
Flemington, nothing was done to service it.  It thought it would be at
Citro's forever. My father worked at Van Ness Lumber in Pequannock and
knew Tony.  He would come in with paint chips and ask for a paint mix
that would be an exact match for the engine and the Erie caboose.  He
did the same when he acquired PRR's "Queen Mary".  All of this
historical accuracy has been lost over the years.  Could the 565 ever
run again?
