Re:Re: (erielack) Erie modelling info

ERIE POWER, by Stauffer.

DIAMOND, vol. 18, #4, p4. "The Erie's 28th St. Yard", Lee and Flagg.

DIAMOND, vol. 19, #1, p4. ditto

The two 300hp boxcabs from IR/ALCo/GE were delivered before the diamond herald had appeared. When it came, it had the shorter letters. Eventually, they got the slightly larger diamond with the elongated letters.

As always, when you model dictates what you model.

Thanks Randy, I haven't seen what detailes the K-line model has to offer other than the catalog photos. I am looking for a good side shot of either of the Erie cabs
to see where the lettering is. I thought there were some on Fallen Flags but I didn't see any this afternoon. If anyone knows of any sites please pass them alsong.

Just to be clear, I am not micro detailing this, simply redecalling. I would like to have it done for the Christmas train garden, I thought it would be more unique
than the K-Line SW offered. Next year I will add the caboose. Too bad taxes and bills get in the way of having fun.

Have a good one. Andy Cole
