Say, I don't know how far off topic this is, but this weekend there's an auction of the assets of the Knox & Kane; included are both steam engines - their #38 operated on the original Livonia Avon & Lakeville for a long time after they took the line over from the EL. It originally belonged to the Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain (did it run at Rail City in Sandy Creek, NY, too?). They did have a fire down there back in the spring in the engine house, the Chinese 2-8-2 is pretty bad, but the #38 didn't appear to have a lot of damage based on some recent pictures (at least it still had most of it's paint intact). An ex-WM GP7 and an ex-D&H coach were also badly damaged in the fire (a PRR caboose was later torched in a seperate incident). Shouldn't be hard to google up details if anyone is interested, it's a two-day auction and they're selling everything they can, from lanterns to the locomotives. Bill K.
