I was at Dover on the last run. I suspect the first section which went to either Binghamton or Hornell, I forget, was probably a "fan trip" for all who wanted to ride "Phoebe" one more time. William White's D&H 300 was on the rear of the first section. The first section didn't accept passengers between Dover and Scranton (something like that). The second section was the real "Phoebe Snow" with extra cars as well. I wonder if EL planned to run the two sections in advance, knowing the railfan interest in the train. I wonder if this was one of the last times the former Erie modernized coaches were used? The Lackawanna equipment could handle 5 and 6 with no problems.
