I'll have to go back and check my copy of "Alco: A Centennial Rememberance" by Dick Steinbrenner; I believe he addresses this in that book. (Rogers became one of the components of Alco) And it would be interesting to go to the next step and determine how locomotives were transported on the Erie before it was converted to Narrow Guage.
