Paul, The P'burger was a Port Morris to P'Burg and/or P'Burg to Port Morris job only. Crews stayed overnight at either P'Burg or Port Morris. Most times they lived in one or the other towns. For a very short time under EL it was operated Croxton to P'burg unsuccessfully as the crews couldn't get the work done or over the road. It then reverted back to a PM-PB job. As business slowed down or just disappeared it became just a turn job out of P'Burg to Port Morris and return to P'Burg. Any cars for P'burg came up from Denville and eventually Dover (off the M&E railroad and Morristown). Whatever other traffic there was came up on CS9. Prior to EL I would need to check DL&W blocking to see what train handled P'Burg traffic. One thing that I don't remember from our discussion about this train a few years back: If the Croxton-P'Burg train was dropped, what replaced it? I assume CS-9 or other westbound freights simply had a Port Morris set-out that the P'burg Turn would then pick up? I seem to remember this was the case, can anyone confirm? - Paul The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List http://EL-List.railfan.net/ To Unsubscribe: http://Lists.Railfan.net/erielackunsub.html The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List http://EL-List.railfan.net/ To Unsubscribe: http://Lists.Railfan.net/erielackunsub.html ------------------------------
