The detailed 1906 article re the planning and construction of the Erie's Jersey City "terminal improvements" (aka the Bergen Arches) was extremely informative and really fascinating. It is interesting that Railway Age spoke of the project as including "very probably the electrification of the suburban lines entering the terminal."
