My son went to summer camp north of Liberty for several years. I went through Port Jervis on a weekday about five years ago. There were 60 cars in the lot. 36 PA, 18 NY, and 6 NJ...
There are also PA cars in NJT lots at Netcong, Mt Arlington and Dover. Denville, though I 80 has easier access than Dover, doesn't: its lot is full too often.
Living in PA is cheap until you figure the cost of commuting. What is saved on housing and taxes is partly overcome by car expenses or fares, and the excess commuting time -should- have some value. Many say they live there for their families, but they are not home very much to be part of their families.
The services one might expect from government are sometimes missing - I've seen snow on major highways unplowed a week after a storm. A trip to the local market to get groceries will take 90 minutes because it's 30 miles each way. A coworker's wife decided not to work in her career field (RN) when she saw the wage scale.
