Those yellow decals are *CORRECT.* As-delivered, some of Erie's 40' boxcars has yellow diamonds with yellow lettering and a black interior circle. These were the smaller sized diamond with the "tall skinny" lettering. That yellow diamond didn't last that long, for reasons that are still a bit unclear, and the Erie standardized on the white diamond with black center for all further boxcar deliveries. The other lettering (reporting marks, capacity, etc.) is white - always was.
