Fred: In late EL days, they had a 400 series SW-9 switcher (often EL 435) assigned to the branch which was left at Honesdale. Each weekday, they would assemble their empties, which were mostly empty paper boxcars from Moore Business forms, and haul them down to Lackawaxen for a swap with loads which were waiting for them East of the crossing near the old BQ tower. As I remember, there was 4 tracks at BQ: two mains with double crossovers; the branchline and one storage track. Typically on the days right before Conrail (Early 1970's) the local dropped off and picked up about a dozen cars on average. I have seen days when they handled 25, but that is about maximum (quite a struggle for a little switcher!). Beside Moores, they handled cars from the Honesdale yard of Narrowsburg Lumber, a furniture business and Honesdale Feed. In later years, they also handled cars for Gumble Bros. Lumber on the Team track (old Wye to Scranton branch) in Hawley, which was right by the US Route 6 crossing.
