I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the rails were still in place all the way to the road by Vestal Lumber (was it Bridge St?) into the late 80s - early 90s. My wife's from Vestal and her older sister lives over on the west end of Endicott (Union) so I went by that spot many times back then. Never any evidence of service, of course. Now its a rail trail. Early EL maps showed the old mainline in service all the way to Nichols. Was it? When did service to Nichols end?
