(erielack) Thanks

First off a big thanks to the guys at ELHS for getting my books too me in a mere 17 days rather then the feared 4-6 weeks proscribed, way to go guys real EL express spirit .

Second, Mr. DeYoung's "West End" Book answered another question that had been rearing it's head as I worked on train schedules for my proposed layout. Originally I had wanted to run the layout between subdivision point yards, namely Meadville & Kent. But I was finding very few trains that stopped at Kent. A caption in the book answered my budding queries there "A single DRS 6-6-1500 cleared out all 214 cars from Kent yard when it was abandoned/retired in 1964". DOH!

I don't think modeling Meadville to Marion is feasible, in a believable way in a model RR pike. So my next option that comes to mind is Akron's yard. Even though I had not really wanted to try and capture the feel of a metropolitan area such as Akron, and I'm not sure if this is just an intermediate yard of if it can meet the grade to be one of the endpoints on the layout (Staging not withstanding). So I wanted to throw this new ponderance out to the EL peers for their input.

Thank you,
