It appears that these cars were of riveted construction; the rivets are more visible in the photo of the 44466 in the Color Guide. P-S built another series for EL, 100 cars nos.44100-44199 equipped with bulkheads, but otherwise identical. EL ordered most of its gons from Greenville, and all of these appear to be riveted as well. It's depicted on EL Diagram book page 3C-9. What would the other series you're referring to be?
