Jim, The railway "press" is an interesting mixture of history and other things. But perhaps a letter to the editor is in order stating what you so well state here. By the way, my friend at NYPL said that SIBL is not closing anytime soon but eventually will what with cutbacks. Things will probably remain as is until the economy improves.
