As information, Conrail formally abandoned freight service
on the Harrison - Kingsland Branch approximately between
Harrison and Kingsland Junction. This action eliminated
paying New Jersey Transit a rental charge, I recall.

Years before, some westbound DL&W freights from Hoboken
were scheduled to pick-up traffic at Koppers Coke and then
ran via the Harrison-Kingland "Cut-off" to rejoin the Boonton
Line for the trip west to Port Morris and beyond.
