(erielack) Interchange with Genesee & Wyoming

Dear List...

Does anyone on the list have any knowledge about the EL interchange with the Genesee & Wyoming?  I suppose if there was much interchange, it would have been done at Greigsville NY on the old DL&W?  If so, how was it handled? Was there much of an interchange in the 1970s, or did most of the salt business go to the B&O at Caledonia?  Did the EL have a class of covered hoppers used for the salt business?
