Actually the line is severed at Mahoning Avenue in North Warren, just east of the Mahoning River Bridge with Jersey Barriers across the track. From that point east to MP 20 (east of MK) the line is owned by Ohio Central. They purchased it from Conrail in 1996 as part of the Youngstown Cluster. NS has the right to operate over Ohio Central between MP 15.5 (Pine Street Warren on the old PY&A) and MP 20 (former EL second sub). In the past they have moved the Warren Ore over that route as well as stone for the stone staging area at Lordstown. Presently, as Rick previously reported, NS has cars stored between MP 20 and Lattimer and of course, the former Republic Steel Plant at Warren is closed, possibly for good.
