Indeed, X2233 is intriguing. If you look closely, there is a two masted schooner docked behind the old swing bridge. This, along with the dry dock complex in the background suggests this is more likely off the Hudson River, in Jersey City or maybe even Hoboken. As the photo was taken in 1922, about the time of the Morris Canal abandonment, why would the unidentified RR invest in a new bridge unless there was some need to access the canal or waterway on the nearside. This could be the Morris Canal basin, but it looks too narrow for that and besides I do not recall any RR crossing the basin. Could it be within the dry dock complexes in Hoboken served by the Hoboken Shore RR? Just a guess….

On the first four few additions, that I hope Wes will double check on. The last one is intriguing, in that it appears to be a swing bridge over a canal, thus I'm guessing over the Morris Canal in Jersey City or Newark? but not on the Lackawanna. Ron Rice?
