I will direct everyone's attention to the excellent and thorough article on Buffalo Creek boxcars, written by Ron Dukarm, that appeared in The Diamond last year, Vol 30., No. 2.  The cars leased by the BCK to the EL were put in the number series 85597 - 85849.  By January 1976, only 17 cars remained in this EL series (Ron points out that five remained in an Erie number series).  The consist sheets show five cars in that series...
EL 85624 loaded  with "Merchandise" in train BNAF-97 on 1/13/76 consigned to the BN Agent in St Paul, MN, via ChicagoEL 85625 empty in train PO-98 on 8/25/75 consigned to Quaker Oats in Marion, OHEL 85692 empty in train HOBOKEN on 4/23/72EL 85717 empty in train PO-97 on 7/11/75 consigned to the agent in Meadville, PAEL 85717 empty in train PO-87 on 12/1/75 consigned to the agent in Elmira, NY
 

Paul, the 85000 - 85029 series of boxcars shows up in the Equipment Register as having 8-belt DF loaders.  The consist sheets show these cars going back and forth to Tappan Stove in Ontario or Mansfield, Ohio.
