List...

Probably the most common insulated boxcars ("grocery cars") on the EL were the 50' offset plug door boxcars built by General American in two orders in 1964-65, listed in four separate groups in the Equipment Register based on internal equipment.  The two orders were nearly identical except for the shape of the side sills.  The first order of cars were numbered 68300 - 68374, while the second group was 68375 - 68454.  Altogether, 59 examples were found in the database, which would place this car at #42 in the EL Hot 100.

Systemwide, Mainly hauling canned and bottled food items eastbound and heading empty westbound.

Model...
Moloco offered a highly-detailed exact replica of this freight car (first order with straight side sill) a few years ago, but it has gone out of production.
