Subject: Interest in Custom Etched Model of DL&W/EL Style Signal Bridges
"DL_W_Signal_Bridge_Port_Morris_NJ.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1024x562 (24bit)

Folks,

I few years ago, I proposed the idea of working with a model maker of etched signal bridges and catenary structures, Model Memories, to have them produce an HO model(s) of the DL&W/EL style signal bridges that were used in NJ and PA. I have linked to a photo of the 4-track one the used to stand at Port Morris.

As of the last time I talked to Model Memories, they proposed the following pricing:

Kit - $105
Assembled and painted - $195

Remember, these are custom made, brass models of the highest quality. I have no financial interest in this project and am not associated with Model Memories in any way. My interest is purely to have an accurate model for my railroad without going the time and complexity of scratch-building these. You can visit his web site to see for yourself:

We have had several false starts on this project, but the person doing the work is retiring in next month and says he is now in position to move ahead on the project. A few DL&W/EL modelers have already expressed their interest in supporting this project. If you haven't contacted me directly about this and are interested, please let me know.

Thanks.
