"Whippany_RR_2-37.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1536x1036 (24bit)

Both taken May of 1964:

2-37 shows a really short yet highly interesting freight rolling past
the Denville freight house, as seen from Denville tower. Note the Alco
FA2-EMD F3B-Alco FA1 lashup, Seaboard round-roof boxcar, and
hopper-turned-covered hopper (and all trailed by a DL&W caboose!) This
elevated view also shows the alignment of the two northern mains moving
away from the fly-over.

2-38 shows the Boonton Drill (an H16-44 and a Dunmore caboose, which was
common for the early 1960s) headed to Boonton to begin their work, also
taken from the Dover tower. You can REALLY see the southernmost main
dive down to go under the "flyover" in this one!
