First, and foremost, I read your pages on your son Tim's battle with
Hodgkins. Quite a dissertation, my thoughts are with you and your family
through this for a speedy recovery on all parts.
Secondly, I thought I'd pop in this tidbit about a mutual interest- WC
SDP45 6634, Ex EL 3656. As of now the units is stored serviceable, in
Stevens Point, WI. With the pending CN/WC merger, no one knows what is to
happen to her. She was just painted a little over a year or so, albeit a
bit faded now, from the Conrail Blue we got her in.
The crews loved the locomotive, as it was a good puller. A little rough
as a yard switcher, due to it's size, but I have seen it in that
capacity. The engine is in excellent shape, little rust, and the frame
and body is still very good.
It will most likely get sold or put into CN's lease fleet. Speculation ,
however. WC GP30's, SD24's, Geeps and possible ex MILW SDL39's to be
