The DL&W's "Phoebe Snow" pattern was ordered from 1949 through 1960 from
Syracuse China. The 10" service plate and the 8 1/2" lunch plate were the
only ones with the "Route of Phoebe Snow" lettering as shown in the attached
photo. All of the other pieces in the pattern were unmarked, just the
maroon stripe around the edge. The unmarked pieces are a stock pattern, so
I would not pay more than a dollar or two for an unmarked piece.

All other Lackawanna trains used thew floral "St. Albans" pattern until the
EL merger. What is interesting is that the Erie and DL&W dining car
departments merged when the Erie moved its trains into Hoboken terminal.
What makes this interesting is the second photo showing an Erie heavyweight
diner using "Phoebe Snow" unmarked china in 1958!
