The hopper appears to be one of the Erie's outside braced offset hoppers. It
had a full EL repaint. Today the reporting marks and all lettering are
painted over. The car has no trucks or couplers and it is missing most of
it's brake equipment. Could not make out the number but I'll include a shot
of reporting marks and number area if anyone wants to take a good guess at
what's left of the number.

Subject: (erielack) Erie hopper at Waddell Breaker
The Underground miners website just updated a feature on the Waddell
breaker, of interest is the existence of an Erie hopper at the site of the
breaker. A couple of questions:
1.) What is the specific heritage and number of the hopper?
2.) Is there any discussion of preservation of the hopper?
3.) Where is the Waddell breaker site located? Can someone provide
4.) Anyone have photos of the hopper?
5.) In general are there any other anthracite hoppers in existence and
where are they located?
