The locomotives of the excursion ran around the train west of town, and actually backed into the station, they actually proceeded east of town into this incredibly narrow roack cut! Then pulled west into the station.
As mentioned on the list, the East Stroudsburg station was recently gutted by fire, you could still smell the chared wood. During the half hour layover we had a chance to walk around town and tour the tower on a quiet Sunday afternoon. This was the first time I have been up in the tower since I was a teenager back in 1976, that day the friendly tower operator let us inside and visit the tower, I watched CS-9 as it arrived and picked up three EL GP-7's off the spur just east of the tower where the grass field is today! :(
