"Dansville_Depot_B_F3-E8_15.jpg" - image/jpeg, 2000x1608 (24bit)

1. WWI solders leaving for war

2. F3 & E8 on #15, when I first looked at this photo I thought that it
was a westbound freight coming down Dansville Hill, but no it's heavy head
end laden #15 The Owl with a passenger F3 and an E8 at the far east end of
the Dansville station platform. It's the same train that is pictured in the
3rd photo. #15 must have been late, so when that happened he would sit and
wait for #6 the Phoebe Snow to make its 2 minute stop, and then the station
and mail employees would work the head end of #15

3. Kids (me included) on the baggage cart with #15 waiting as #6 departs
Dansville.

4. A photo from the rear of an eastbound train, probably, by the looks
of the sun angle taken from the back of the 11:30 #6 then called the
Lackawanna Limited. The water tank wasn't used too much because Groveland 8
miles to the west had a pusher station complete with a coal tower over 4
tracks, water tank, 3 stall Enginehouse, and wye track (that the Dansville &
Mt. Morris connected on) and at Wayland 6 miles to the east there was a
pusher wye and a watering hole called Wayland Tank .
