Subject: Youngstown Erie Freight House 11-24-07
"Youngstown_Leaderer_Terminal_Building_112407.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1102x734 (24bit)

A year or so ago I posted some photos of the remaining former Erie-EL
buildings in Youngstown.

The freight house, known as the Leaderer Terminal Building, (joint EL-P&LE)
is very hard to photograph because of the size of the building.......it's a
block long.

Here is a photo of the building taken today, from the B&O passenger station
across the river. The trees spoil the view somewhat, but it is an impressive
view anyway.

The four stacks behind the building are from the former Ohio Edison North
Avenue Steam Plant, now called Youngstown Thermal. That plant is on the north
side of the former tracks while the freight house is on the south side.
