Passenger trains are NOT my strong point, thus I always refer to the God Father / Professor / Dean of Lackawanna through line passenger trains, Art Tross. Finally talked with Art today, SO, per Art:

What train is that in the attached photo at Pocono Summit? No 2 with a 30' RPO / Combo Baggage Car. Mid-day at Pocono Summit! Train No 2 Pocono Express 10:49 AM (Sleepers and Diner 7 of course that 30 RPO-Bag)

In July of ‘54 (and ‘55), Nos 3 and 6 made a FLAG stop at Pocono Summit which would be odd if they handled mail on a regular basis.

10 and 15 ran non-stop Scranton-S’burg in the middle of the night!

Other eastbound trains operating daily except Sunday:

No 26 Merchants Express 7:03 AM (Diner-Lounge).

No 2 Pocono Express 10:49 AM (Sleepers and Diner). BINGO OUR TRAIN

No 44 unnamed 6:44 PM, only stop Scranton-S’burg. (Buffet-lounge.)

If I had to guess, I would say No 2, as the only through train.
