Hopewell Depot Restoration 3/16/2014
We had a very busy weekend. We split into two teams to cover two RR
talk/slideshows and also keep the Depot open for visitors. The RR talks
were at the Rhinscliff Hotel on Saturday and the Rojan Historical
Society in Copake Falls on Sunday. Both event went very well.
Meanwhile the other team entertained a large group of visitors at the
Depot while volunteers worked on the N scale model train diorama. We
sold a few books and collected a few new friends. All is well.
There will be two more talks this coming week. One at the Red Hook
Library Association Thursday evening and one at the NMRA chapter meeting
in Hopewell Junction Saturday morning. I will report on them later.
The Hopewell Depot will be open again on Saturday 3/22 from 9:00 AM till
Stop around and chat about railroads and local history.
