>I am the youngest daughter (born in 1920) of A.O. Lagerstrom, architect and
>building superindent for the CM ST P & P RR. for 38 years and designed many
>of their depots and roundhouses. At present I and his grandchildren are
>collecting photographs and information about his architectural work for the
>Railroad. I do not see any listings for the two depots that I discovered on
>The other station I found on the web was in LaCrosse, WI and A.O.
>Lagerstrom was listed as the architect.
Attached is a composite of 4 photos of the Milwaukee Road depot in La
Crosse, Wisconsin taken by Craig Bluschke in 1973 and again last month.
This well-designed depot is in excellent condition today. Formerly the
headquarters of the La Crosse Division of Milwaukee Road, it is used both
by Amtrak and a number of small businesses.
