RE: (erielack) Sparkill NY station



Ok I was thinking though, when did the last trains run from Nanuet down to
that area, that's what I based my answer on, not considering the Northern
Branch. Gair Paper in Piermont was demolished about 1988.

No, Conrail took over exactly what the  EL had been running.
West leg of the Sparkill wye to Glenshaw Glass at Orangeburg.

East leg of the wye down to Piermont.   Box or cardboard   factory their.

When the Northern got cut back to the state line.    Hummmmmm,  boy, the
mind
is foggy already.  Early to mid 90s is a ball  park guess.
