Does anyone have a DL&W map from 1939 to 1955 ,west end ?? Employee TT ?? I am trying to find evidence of a spur between East Bethany and East Alexander. It entered a large parcel of land recently owned by Union Carbide,which was used by them and predecessors to test gases and equipment.(explosive properties) One source told me that around 1960 he helped a welder at the site and he saw traces of an old siding. A recent source was quoted as working for a local contractor,one summer,burying machinery,trucks and railroad cars that remained on the site. A casual drive on the r-o-w in the past did not reveal any land formations,only brush.If it did exist,it appears that it was erased with purpose.
