Listers, The Scranton Times piece back in Dec said that the U of Scranton was not interested in acquiring the station as a dorm because the room per sq ft of structure ratio was inefficient for dormitory use. Article went on to say that the U of Scranton was considering buying the structure as a "lab" for a school of hospitality much in the same manner as Cornell University has a working hotel on their Ithaca, NY campus as a part of what was once called the school of hotel management. The growth of cruising vacations, theme park total resorts, etc. has put a little different spin on the discipline of "hotel management" but the idea is the same. Article was vague but U of S implied that if purchased the station would remain a hotel and conference center for university and alumni events. Inference was that it would remain an operating hotel open to the public which would only make sense. Rusty Recordon ------------------------------
