Thanks for putting that up, Todd. 1906 is in between the 1901 and 1916 ORER's I've got. Checking both, the only cars in the 800 series are in the passenger equipment listings, combines, "under 60' long" and with a seating capy "under 70." In 1901, the NYS&W had milk cars, series 800-830, but they had (at least in 1901) NYS&W reporting marks, not ERIE. Possibly, by 1906, they had been relettered to ERIE? There are a lot of notes in the 1901 book covering the in-process renumbering and relettering of equipment, but it doesn't speak to that for these cars. Maybe somebody will know about J S Udall. Does that say "Cmdr?" As in "Commander J S Udall?" Commander of what, I wonder.
