> Paul, what was the sequence . . .did these units get the B&Y > scheme, and THEN get the GMY? Or did they survive the B&Y > period in their original DL&W paint? > > SGL Here's the pattern on these units in terms of paint schemes. All received EL numbers, regardless of the paint job that was on them (DL&W and/or Erie specifically) Note that any repaints stayed painted that way until they were traded in (the 6011-series FT's went to Alco on the new C424's in June 1963, and the 6511 and 7001-series were all gone by June 1964). There are a couple of holes in here - if anyone has photographic proof of what schemes these units wore (identified with a "?"), please let me know! - Paul 6011 - EL freight 6012 - EL freight 6014 - EL freight 6014 - DL&W freight 6021 - DL&W freight 6022 - DL&W freight 6024 - DL&W freight 6031 - DL&W freight 6032 - DL&W freight 6034 - DL&W freight 6041 - DL&W freight, then EL passenger 6042 - DL&W freight, then EL passenger 6044 - EL passenger 6511 - DL&W passenger, then EL freight 6512 - DL&W passenger, then EL freight 6521 - EL passenger 6522 - EL passenger 6531 - DL&W passenger, then EL freight 6532 - DL&W passenger, then EL freight 6541 - DL&W passenger, then EL freight 6542 - DL&W passenger 6544 - DL&W passenger 7001 - Erie with EL diamonds 7002 - Erie with EL diamonds 7003 - Erie, then EL freight 7004 - Erie, then EL freight 7011 - Erie, then with EL diamonds 7012 - Erie, then with EL diamonds 7013 - Erie with EL diamonds 7014 - Erie with EL roadname decal 7021 - ? 7022 - ? 7023 - Erie 7024 - Erie 7031 - ? 7032 - ? 7033 - Erie 7034 - Erie 7041 - Erie, then EL freight 7042 - Erie, then EL freight 7043 - ? 7044 - ? 7051 - Erie, then with EL roadname decal 7052 - Erie 7053 - ? 7054 - ? - -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
