Thanks for posting that, Phil. Can you identify/clarify some of the other train symbols? ?HF-98 _W-97 AF-97 I gather 35 was a local. E units (817, 821, 831) were alive and well on the west end even at this late date. It's interesting how the symbols evolved over the years. In the early 1970's, the MILW transfer was due at 51St by 8 pm and Milwaukee power often continued east on NY-98 later that evening. On this sheet it's MILW-76, and connection NY-98 had shifted east to Marion, due out in early afternoon. I also have a MILW-76 consist from Sept '75 which was a 61 car solid consist of containers on chassis; this was not a regular move. I think the final 2/100 ran the previous Saturday. Evidently UPS shifted its traffic to a PC routing by March 30 (Tuesday) to avoid breaking up its business week.
