Schuyler-
I had read somewhere that they were white. Did the Erie use yellow diamonds on freght cars?
The three shots I have of the car are all black and white. It is hard to tell the difference between white and yellow in these shots. The hopper door latches were changed either during production or while in service. Compare the lead car photo of 20000 and 20012. The latches moved from the edge of the roof to near the running board.

Did these cars NOT have a yellow diamond when built? I seem to remember that they did for a short time, later changed to white. Anybody know for sure?
