Hi folks,

Some of you may have surmised by a lot of the questions I've been asking
lately that I'm in the design stages of my new layout. Thanks to Paul
Brezicki, who used more "out of the box" thinking than I was using, I
have a good starting point and footprint for a new layout. I'm now
taking Paul's design and redoing the whole thing in CAD to make some
changes and add some features to capture my operational desires and
wants.

As most of you know, I'm modeling the Boonton Line (and a little bit
west) circa mid-1975, with the layout running from Croxton Yard to Port
Morris, and will have several other railroads (CNJ, Hoboken Shore,
NYS&W, PC) in there as well as interchange partners. I'm drawing up the
layout starting from the west end and working east, so my Port
Morris/Netcong and Lake Jct. sections are fairly "complete". (and yes,
I know SE-98 wasn't a solid pig train, but this train allows me to test
train lengths and how well 89' cars look around turns)

Attached are some 3D renderings produced from my CAD program (3rd
Planit, if anyone's curious). Comments/suggestions are welcome! (note -
the buildings are all "placeholders" for actual structures, and there's
no scenery in place yet)

- Paul
