Thanks to Ron for stating:

My original question was framed around the EL "XF Food Service Only" cars,
not bulk flour boxcars in general (though I admit I was incredulous at that
thought, and thanks to all for correcting my misconception with that)

So let me restate my question: Did EL's XF boxcars (rebuilt in 1973/1974)
ever haul bulk flour, or was it only bagged flour?

While we're on BCK boxcars, does anyone know which series cars were sold by
the EL to BCK, as in the attached image of BCK 1201? (a Meadville rebuild,
note the sidesill). And in the shot of BCK 4700, it's stencilled as an "XFG
Food service only" car - what's "XFG?"
