"Ford_yard_5_Mahwah_NJ-PRT.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1770x1150 (24bit)

This will be the last installment for now...

Back in the mid-1990s, I decided to hike down the "Ford Lead" in Suffern,
NY, to see where it led to. Much to my surprise, it led to the Ford Yard! I
assumed this was built upon, but all they did was remove the rails/ties. The
new construction in Mahwah was put where the plant was, while the yard area
remained relatively unscathed.

It was a rather creepy sight, especially the paved areas where the cars
lined up to be loaded into autoracks. You can see in "Ford Yard 5" the start
of the balloon track.

Enjoy!
