I was at Denville today when train 1028 made its station stop at 1:08pm,
possibly with the same trainset Todd saw yesterday. The consist was Comet
I cars 5126, 5105, 5124 and F40PH-2 4121. No photos, sorry.

The NJT roster in September, 2000, had 42 high-door Comet I trailers and
32 Comet I cab cars, so I'm not surprised to see an all-cab train now.

However, it's not the NJT record for horns since every Arrow MU car has
one horn and the 30 single cars each have TWO. I once saw a five-car set
of single cars, so that's TEN horns.

Two possibly 'off-topic' items:

1 - A few minutes later, Morristown & Erie #20 came up the Morristown Line
with two passenger cars to be run around the wye track. I DID get a few
photos and a minute of video of them crossing NJ 53 on the east leg of the
wye. The stills are attached and I'll send the video to Paul so he can
put it up.

2 - I went to the Rockaway Shoprite the 'long way' via Franklin Ave. I
saw a large crane at the Rockaway Road bridge setting the fifth precast
concrete I-beam for the first span north of the railroad. This appears to
be the only first or second day of this work. Since there are four spans
(south approach, railroad, river, and north approach) and this is about
half the beams for this span, they should be there for about a week more.
I have a few photos of this also and will send them to anyone who asks OFF
LIST.
