While not name related, I was able to find an interior photo of Lackawanna
Buffet Lounge 786. It appears that this car had room to seat 12 diners at a
time at two tables for 4 and two tables for 2 which you can barely make out
behind those half walls towards the rear area in the first photo. It seems
that the DL&W liked having tables of 2 and 4 in their diners while the Erie
seemed to prefer tables of 4 and 4 on both sides of their cars. In the case
of the Budd diners that Lackawanna was able to seat 36 people at a time with
more aisle room and slightly larger tables. Most railroads that bought Budd
diners would seat 48 like NYC 448 shown here.
